It’s a gala time for SIS as it welcomed its meritorious students returning home bringing laurels, honors and festive mood to the family. Salwa Jalaluddin Tisekar who joined SIS in 2002 became the school Head girl in 2015 and now became a true model for CBSE students in Qatar to prove again scholastics and co-scholastics can go hand in hand. An excellent orator, debater and moderator, Salwa brought to the school the top score of 95.6% in Commerce stream, top among all the Indian Schools. She also achieved the distinction of being the jubilant school topper in four subjects: 98% in Home Science, 96% in English, and 95% in Business Studies and 95% in Economics.
Triumphant Vishal M.K, Class Prefect of 2015-16 also gained remarkable achievement by scoring 96.2% adding a feather to the cap of SIS family. He is the Qatar topper in Physics (99%). Significantly, Vishal too gained the honour of being the school topper with 96% in Chemistry and 95% in Mathematics.
Illustrious Namitha Mohan is the School and Qatar topper in Accountancy with 95% and got a score of 96% in English. She emerged as the 2nd topper in commerce stream in SIS.
Mr. K.C Abdul Latheef (SMC President) and Principal along with Vice-principals, addressed the students of Senior Secondary section to share the happiness and to inspire them to work hard to attain even better results in the coming years. President stated that SIS stands for a very healthy competition among Indian Schools in Qatar that helps children to maximize their academic achievement. He appreciated the excellent team work of Section Heads, Heads of Departments, teachers and administrative staff that gives our children greater opportunities to excel in the unique SIS ways.
