The Social Science Department of SIS organized various activities in the Indian context during the Vigilance Awareness Week reflecting the theme ““Combating Corruption – Technology as an enabler”.

Adv. Rayees Kochery and Dr. Nizar Kochery of Kocheries Legal Consultants LLP, enriched the knowledge of our students of Grade IX and X students with their lecture on ‘How e-judiciary, that helped in making court proceedings more transparent’. To help students fight against corruption and ideate ways through which it can be eradicated, the students from classes VI to X competed in Slogan Writing Contest and Debate and also attended a seminar conducted by an eminent speaker. The Students of Class VI came up with some catchy slogans based on the topic ‘Root out Corruption before it roots in you’ and filled their Class Bulletin Boards evoking a strong sense against corruption in India.

Students of Classes VII and VIII debated on the topic “e-ticketing has been effective in reducing corruption in India”.
