“Handwriting- The mirror to the personality of a person”
SIS KG and Primary Wing organized ‘A Day of Calligraphy’ on 20th November 2014 for students from KG I to Class II. The aim of this inter class competition was to motivate the students for active participation and to improve their calligraphy skills.
Meticulously planned scripts were given to each and every student of all the classes. The little ones put in their preeminent efforts to perfect their handwriting and to excel in these competitions. The closely contested competition presented a challenging task for the teachers to adjudge the winners. The entries were judged on the basis of letter formation, consistency, neatness and legibility.
Bulletin boards exhibited the student’s artistic skills in a decorative and distinctive form. The visual art corners created by students displayed beautiful calligraphic fonts, integrating skills and values.
To keep the spirit of participation high, the students were primarily motivated to participate with great interest and zeal. The teachers briefed the students the importance of developing good handwriting which is a reflection of a person’s individuality. Furthermore, they were reinforced with skilled worksheets to enhance their fine and gross motor skills.
A favourable outcome and accomplishment of the purpose was attained with students being successful in attaining confidence, competency and skillfulness through this endeavour.
