Awareness Session – Kind Minds, Safe Choices (FN)

May 19, 2026:

Shantiniketan Indian School’s Preparatory Section (Forenoon) successfully conducted an engaging awareness session titled “Kind Minds, Safe Choices” for Grade 4 students at the MPH under the guidance of Academic Supervisor Mr. Wayne Rodrigues. The session was thoughtfully planned and led by school counsellor Ms. Faheema Mustafa, focusing on kindness, empathy, positive behaviour, and responsible decision-making.

Through interactive discussions and fun-filled activities, students explored the “Stop • Think • Pause • Act” Traffic Light Strategy, learning the importance of self-control and thoughtful choices. Discussions on Safe Hands and Safe Words helped students identify safe and unsafe behaviours such as helping, sharing, teasing, hitting, and pushing.

Activities like the Freeze & Think Challenge, empathy-based scenarios, and the impactful Water Jar and Ink Experiment encouraged students to reflect on how words and actions affect others. The Kindness Ripple Activity beautifully highlighted how even a small act of kindness can create a positive impact on many lives.

The session concluded with reflection questions, a positive behaviour pledge, and an inspiring message that kind words build strong hearts and small choices create big changes.
