The Career Counselors Hub 2025 was held on 9th to 10th September 2025 at Qatar Foundation, Doha, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), British Council, and the U.S. Embassy Doha. The two-day event provided professional development and networking opportunities for school and university counselors, focusing on strategies to support students’ academic and career pathways. Mrs. Faheema Mustafa, Career Counselor at Shantiniketan Indian School, attended both days of the program. Participants engaged in workshops covering scholarship plans, university application timelines, IELTS preparation, student life abroad, and the use of AI tools in counseling.
The second day focused on practical approaches for effective university planning and emphasized the importance of personal and professional wellbeing for counselors. Sessions highlighted structured guidance methods, self-care strategies, and resilience-building techniques essential for sustaining effective student support.
Overall, the program offered valuable insights into bridging students with higher education opportunities, managing scholarship and admissions processes, and adopting innovative counseling practices. The knowledge and resources gained are intended to be integrated into the school’s counseling framework to enhance student guidance, strengthen partnerships with universities, and ensure the wellbeing of counselors for sustained impact.
