June 17, 2026:
As part of the Preparatory Section (Forenoon)’s ongoing commitment to student well-being and happiness, an engaging awareness session titled “Choose Happiness: Building Bridges Through Positive Communication” was conducted for students of Grades 3 and 5.
The session was led by Ms. Faheema, School Counsellor, under the guidance of Mr. Wayne Rodrigues, Academic Supervisor. Through interactive discussions, storytelling, and role-play activities, students explored the importance of positive communication, healthy relationships, and effective conflict resolution in fostering happiness and harmony.
A key highlight of the session was the introduction of the practical conflict-resolution strategy, “It bugs me when…” and “I wish…”, which encouraged students to express their feelings respectfully and resolve disagreements constructively. Students also learned how kindness, inclusion, empathy, active listening, and problem-solving can strengthen friendships and create a positive school environment.
The session concluded with a meaningful reflection on choosing kindness, using positive words, and communicating openly to build stronger relationships and a happier school community. Students participated enthusiastically and responded positively to the valuable strategies shared during the session.
