The Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior in association with General Directorate of Civil Defence conducted a Webinar on “Fire Prevention” for the parents, staff and students of six schools in Qatar, on 12th April 2023. Students and teachers of Shantiniketan Indian School participated fervently. Representing SIS, the Middle Section Head Teacher, Mrs. Nazia Saleem was called upon to felicitate the event. The host conducted a quiz competition at the end of the session in which Tooba Tasneem (6C), Serah Ann (6B), Avanthika Pandaran Sivadasan (7C), Genan Elamin Mohamed Ali (8B), Prathwin (2A), Raghu (3B) and Filza Fathima (4D) won the prizes.
In order to appreciate and felicitate the winners of the Quiz competition held as part of the Civil Defense Ramadan Awareness Webinar for the students, staff and parents of all the schools, the Assistant Director General of the General Directorate of Civil Defence hosted a ceremony on Tuesday, 16 May 2023 at the officers Club located inside the headquarters of the Civil Defence.
The students were also orientated on the procedures of the fire drill during emergencies.
