November 26, 2025:
The Afternoon Session of Shantiniketan Indian School enthusiastically observed Constitution Day on 26th November 2025, commemorating the adoption of the Indian Constitution and honouring the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. The Social Science Department coordinated and monitored all activities planned for the day, ensuring active participation from students across all grades.
The celebrations began with a thematic assembly by Classes 1 and 2, introducing young learners to the significance of Constitution Day through simple presentations and awareness-building activities.
Students of Grade 3 took part in the engaging activity “National Symbol Mystery Bag”, where they picked symbol cards, described them, and encouraged their peers to guess the national symbol. In Grade 4, the activity “Know Your Rights – Mini Chart” enabled students to select one Fundamental Right and illustrate it creatively in the form of a mini chart. Students of Grade 5 showcased their creativity in a Poster Making Competition based on the theme “Stronger together, Proud together.”
A Special Assembly for Grades 6–9, led by Grade 9 students, featured speeches, a quiz on the Constitution, and interesting “Did You Know?” facts to deepen students’ understanding of India’s constitutional framework.
For Grades 7 and 8, a structured debate on “The Constitution of India: Advantages and Challenges” provided students with a platform for meaningful discussion and critical thinking.
Overall, Constitution Day celebrations in the Afternoon Session of Shantiniketan Indian School successfully strengthened students’ knowledge of India’s constitutional values through diverse and purposeful activities, coordinated under the guidance of the Class Teachers of Grades 1 & 2, the Social Science Teachers, the Art Teacher, and Mr. Ishaq.
