Shantiniketan Indian School organized the Off-Stage Creative Fest Award Ceremony 2020-2021 through remote platform which was telecast through Live Streaming on Youtube.
More than 1450 students participated in a variety of events that included Pencil Drawing, Colouring, Collage Making, Artificial Flower Making, Web Designing, Digital Painting, PowerPoint Presentation, Essay Writing and Poem Writing (in English, Malayalam, Arabic and Hindi), English Story Writing and Quran Recitation. These competitions were held in six categories with participants from classes I – XII.
While Felicitating the students, President of the School Management Committee – Mr. K. C Abdul Latheef, showered huge praises for the massive participation of the students and was delighted to see a large variety of creative works produced by students from all categories and in all the events. He also congratulated the SIS team for meticulously organizing the event using the virtual platform without affecting the school calendar that was prepared before the pandemic. He also reiterated his expectations that he shared during the last Annual Day Address and was relieved to see the parents actively getting involved in the process of learning with their children.
Principal – Dr. Subhash Nair expressed his happiness at the spirt shown by the students as well as the teachers in organizing the event in a grand way.
Parents – Mrs. Antoinette Rose and Mr. Balamurgan showered huge praise at the way the school management and the teachers have kept the students engaged with academic as well as co-curricular activities during this difficult period that the world is passing through. Miss Svetlana Mary Shibu from the Junior Section and Miss Aliya Eyash from the Middle Section also shared their feedback and expressed joy and pride for being a part of the School that is a centre of excellence where children are given ample opportunities to exhibit their potent talents leading to their holistic development.
The event which was anchored remotely by Umm Fatima and Ganga Chekky Veettil, was professionally managed and executed by the students who carried the entire session with tremendous ease and panache. Head Boy – Bharat Prabhu, welcomed the attendees and Head Girl – Riya Jayaprakash presented the vote of thanks. A pinch of entertainment was added by Sneha Tom, who melodiously presented the patriotic song. Pratishtha Bisht and Shaurya Pratap Bisht, presented a self-composed song to keep the people fight COVID and stay safe.
The Managing Committee of SIS and the entire SIS Team congratulated all the participants, organisers of the Off-Stage Cretive Fest Team and the teachers for the success of this grand event.
