November 5, 2025:
Grade 11 students, accompanied by School Counsellor Mrs. Faheema Mustafa, attended an EDU-Talk on “Sustainability in Daily Life” at the National Museum of Qatar. Organized by Qatar Museums in collaboration with Qatar Sustainability Week 2025, the session featured experts presenting real-life case studies on waste reduction, energy conservation, recycling, and practical sustainable living.
Students engaged actively, contributing thoughtful questions throughout the discussions. A key moment was the address by Mr. Hemant Nandan Pawar, Senior Director at the Global Carbon Council, who highlighted the urgency of the global warming crisis and the goals of the Paris Agreement. He emphasized Qatar’s target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, explaining the main causes of global warming and solutions such as renewable energy and carbon reduction strategies.
The event inspired students to adopt sustainable habits and promote eco-friendly initiatives within their school and communities.
