Ethos – the Cultural Extravaganza, showcasing Indo-Qatar Culture, enthralled the huge audience at Shantiniketan Indian School celebrating its 20th Annual Day. The artistic pageant by the students of SIS portrayed the spirit of love, mutual respect, peace and cooperation between two contrasting countries

The glittering evening witnessed exquisite individual talents and brilliance of over seven hundred students from Kindergarten, Junior, Primary, Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary Sections of the School. The program hemmed with intertwined music, song, dance and skits was an awe-inspiring experience for the huge audience.

The enthralling programme was graced by the Honourable Chief Guest – Mr. Khalid Almulla- Acting Director, The Private School Licensing Department Office Of The Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education and esteemed Guest of Honour, Salem al-Nuaimi, Senior Administrative Affairs Specialist, Certificate Equalization Section, Higher Education Institute.

Principal – Dr. Subhash Nair, presented mementoes to the toppers from classes I- XII and the winners of SIS Chairman’s, Interschool & Gulf Sahodaya Polemic Challenge. Winners of the SIS Nikon Photography contest received awards from Mr. Abdul Najeeb and Mr. Abdul Rouf, representative of Salam Studio Stores. President of the Managing Committee of SIS – Mr. K.C. Abdul Latheef presented the teachers excellence awards to Mrs. Safoora Wani, Mrs. Sumaiya Ahmed and Mr. Shakir Hussain. Mr. Mamadou Binet Sylla, Mrs. Liji Mathew, Mr. Noufal K.V., Mrs. Abida Mehdi, Mr. Suresh Kumar, Mr. Sabir Miya, Mr. Mukhtar Ali, Mr. Idreesh, Mr. Tharif, Mr. Rahmulmiya, Mr. Thahir Hussain, Mr. Prakash, Mr. Rasheed E. were also awarded for their long time meritorious service to school.

While addressing the gathering, Mr. K.C. Abdul Latheef, expressed happiness at announcing that “Uniquely Excellent” the SIS slogan that was announced on earlier occasions has come true while presenting the recent achievements of the school in various inter-school competitions. He also urged the parents to actively support the school through continuous follow-up and support children for better performance.

Principal – Dr. Subhash Nair, presented the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the school in scholastic and coscholastic areas. He thanked the School Management Committee for providing new tools every year to help in accelerated learning in classrooms. He highlighted the SIS Active Teaching Pedagogy with tagline “every child can learn and achieve high performance. He affirmed the schools effort to strive hard to add more value to the schools processes to ensure meaningful participation and greater support from parents and the community. He also thanked the teaching and the non-teaching staffs in shaping young minds to be able citizens in this global village.

Head boy of the School – Master Smart Suresh welcomed the gathering and the Head Girl – Miss Hiba Yoosuf presented the note of appreciation.
