GandhiJayanti Passionately Celebrated at SIS

The completion of 150 years of Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with sheer passion and gusto at Shantiniketan Indian School. An air of Gandhism engulfed around SIS as students and teachers enthusiastically participated in various events that spanned across the whole school.

The Kindergarteners, the pre-junior section, the primary section, middle section and secondary section students organized special assemblies, skits, role plays, seminars discussions, talk shows exhibition of art works, slogan-writing and speeches featuring the life, struggles and philosophies of Gandhij and its relevance in todays world. There were mesmerizing performances through which they were to familiarize and also imbibe among students, the values of Gandhiji and its importance in the development of an ideal society and condition that can make the world the happiest place to live in. Gandhi Katha, a special program organized by the Indian Embassy on 28th September, 2020, which was also witnessed live by the students during their virtual classes.

A programme was also organized using the virtual ZOOM platform that focused on the life of Gandhiji and his philosophies was also organized commonly for all the students and parents to watch live on zoom and Youtube to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti in a massive scale.
