Gifts of Nature

“Nature – the art of God….”

It was a day of exploring and reflecting on nature, the students of class KG I to STD II were exposed to a string of environment protection activities whilst they celebrated Gifts of Nature activity on 7th June, 2015.

The blooming buds were encouraged to reflect actively around and interact with the nature to become more productive. They learnt to appreciate the gifts of nature and understood the importance of conserving nature for the survival of life on Earth.

Students made beautiful posters and clay modelling that manifest the beautiful scenario of the nature. These activities helped them to generate an awareness to preserve natural resources in the best possible ways without exploiting it.

Bulletin boards were furnished with protection quotes and messages like “In the trees, in the breeze, see Nature’s peace and bliss”, “Conserve nature”, “It takes nothing away from a human to be kind to an animal” etc. The best message was “Be like a flower that gives its fragrance even to the hand that crushes it.”

The speeches by the children on the importance of nature and the need to conserve it was indeed enlightening. Video clips and documentaries were shown to promote awareness on the importance of conserving nature.

They were able to realize their duty and sense of responsibility towards preserving the biodiversity and tackling the environmental challenges.

“Beautiful things grow out on the earth which make us feel happy and delighted when we look at them. So, look at these beautiful plants and flowers and SMILE”, said Headmistress, Mrs. Mehjabeen while addressing the tiny tots.

They pledged to plant trees to raise awareness about green and clean Earth.

This programme was aimed at committing to work together to build a safer, more prosperous and an equitable world for all and to ensure environmental sustainability.
