Globetrotter’s Wonderland (AN)

The Social Science Department organized “Globetrotter’s Wonderland” for students of Grades 3–8 as part of the World Tourism Day celebrations. Social Science teachers encouraged students to share their travel experiences through creative presentations, connecting their personal experiences with classroom learning.

Students actively participated by locating destinations they had visited on a world map and presenting photographs with short captions about their experiences. Their work reflected creativity, enthusiasm and an interest in exploring different places. The completed entries were displayed on the bulletin board, allowing students to appreciate one another’s work and discover different destinations.

The activity supported the Social Science curriculum by strengthening map skills, geographical awareness and an understanding of places and cultures. Connecting travel memories with map locations made learning more relatable and meaningful. It also encouraged observation, creative expression and appreciation of cultural diversity.

Students responded positively to the activity and enjoyed seeing their contributions displayed. With encouragement from their Social Science teachers, “Globetrotter’s Wonderland” became an engaging learning experience that extended beyond the classroom.
