October 16, 2025:
“Clean Hands, Shared Meals – Growing Strong Together!”
World Food Day commemorates the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 1945. It serves as a call to action to eradicate hunger, promote sustainable agriculture, and ensure food security for all.Global Handwashing Day is a global advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of hand hygiene in preventing diseases. The theme for 2025 was “Clean Hands are Within Reach.” It focused on closing the gap between awareness and action, encouraging communities to make hand hygiene a lasting habit.
By celebrating both days in tandem on 16th October 2025, our institution highlighted the deep interconnection between food, hygiene, health, and social well-being — critical components of early childhood education. Our team of mother teachers took the lead in organizing the event. They developed a meticulously crafted action plan to ensure that activities were age-appropriate, engaging, and aligned with academic learning goals. The celebrations were seamlessly integrated with empathy, cooperation, and unity among young learners. Teachers used this opportunity to instill values of sharing food, helping others maintain hygiene, and working together towards a healthier community.
The celebration unfolded in a joyful, vibrant atmosphere across the Foundational Section. Each class contributed with unique, innovative ideas and interactive sessions that actively engaged children in learning through play and experiential activities.
