ICC One Toastmasters Club’s Best Communicator Award

ICC One Toastmasters Club is an organization functioning in Doha to popularize the art of communication among the residents of Qatar. Every year, ICC one Toastmasters club organizes a mega event to identify the best student speaker of Doha. It’s 11th ICC One Communication Championships 2014‏ preliminary round was held at Ooredoo Tower on 17/10/2014 at 3 PM. Sara Salah El Amin, student of Grade XII B, and Naveen Kelvin, student of Grade X1 A, represented our school in the preliminary round. Topic was given in advance (Internet can be a dangerous toll in the hands of the youth). The competition gave them a platform to show their communication skill before a judging panel which comprised of six renowned personalities.  Amongst the 34 contestants, the top ranked 6 have been chosen for the final round. Sara Salah El Amin has qualified for the Grand Finale.

Much awaited final round was held at Radisson Blue Hotel on 14th November 2014. It was a well-organized programme. Many distinguished personalities from different walks of life were present in the Giwana Ballroom of Radisson Blue hotel to witness the mega final round. Panel of Judges included 15 academicians from Qatar Foundations. Among the six contestants, Sara Salah El Amen of SIS achieved hundred percentage successes in her attempt to touch the heart of each one present in the hall by an excellent performance in the art of public speaking. As the most successful speaker, Sara Salah El Ameen emerged as the ICC communication Junior Champion 2014. She received a cash award of 2000 QR.  Mr. Dudley O Corner, the Vice Principal of CBSE-I was also present to witness the contest.
