Department of Physical Education organized Inter House chess tournament on 14 May, 2015 from 8.30 am. The competition was held for both boys and girls category in Intermediate & Senior level. The programme commenced with an informational power point presentation on the benefits of chess and showcased the renowned chess personalities through ages. Principal, Dr. Subhash B Nair graced the occasion with his presence and Vice Principal- Academics, Mr. Shihabudheen inaugurated the competition by making a chess move.
A total of 64 participants comprising 32 boys and girls participated in the tournament. There were three rounds in the tournament. Each house members competed with all the other houses. Point system was followed in the competition where the winners were awarded 2 points. Finally the house that attained maximum points was declared the winner.
