The Inter-school SIS Chairman’s Polemic Challenge was held on 25th May 2023 at Shantiniketan Indian School. Twenty participants from Shantiniketan Indian School, Noble International School, M.E.S Indian School Doha, M.E.S Indian School Abu Hamour, Birla Public School, Al Khor International School, Rajagiri Public School, Bhavan’s Public School, Olive International School and DPS Monarch, participated in this prestigious event.
The atmosphere was filled with intense debating spirit on the Topic – “Artificial Intelligence argues for and against itself.”. Ms Vijayalatha, Ms. Pradnya Umrani, Ms. Rithu Maheswari, Mrs. Shanty Rose and Mr. Virendra Nath of Toastmasters, graced the occasion as the panel of judges. Sheza Fathima (M.E.S) was adjudicated the Best Speaker and Best Rebuttal. DPS-Monarch International School emerged as the Best School. Arni Mahendra of Rajagiri won the First Runner Up award followed by Pratishtha Bisht of SIS who won the Second Runner Up award. Priyasha Ghosh of Shantiniketan Indian School moderated the debate.
The panel of judges praised the thoughts, ideas and arguments put forward by the participants and wished them a bright future in the world where communication plays a very important role. President – Mr. Rasheed Ahmed shared some valuable thoughts and Dr. Salil Hassan, Principal in charge of SIS congratulated all the speakers for their exceptional preparation on a very futuristic topic and appreciated the participants for bringing out brilliant insights on the role of Artificial Intelligence in the field of education.
