Teachers of thirteen Indian Schools in Qatar, MES Indian School, Ideal Indian School, Shantiniketan Indian School, DPS-Modern Indian School, Al Khor International School, Doha Modern Indian School, Noble International School, Bhavan’s Public School, The Scholars’ International School, Pearl School, Olive International School and Loyola International School had a one day Professional Development Session on “Active Teaching for the Primary Section” at Shantiniketan Indian School.
Teachers discussed Active Teaching Methods, Differentiated Instruction, Blended Learning, Experiential Learning, Micro Teaching, Flipped Lessons, Cooperative Learning, Collaborative Learning and Inclusive Education.
Participants in groups analyzed ways in which they could include innovative and creative activities in the teaching learning process to meaningfully engage children and to make learning enjoyable and effective.
Principal, Dr. Subhash Nair thanked the participants and Mrs. Heena Imran Dhondne, Head Teacher Primary SIS, the resource person of the day and her mentor Mr. Dudley O’Connor, Vice Principal SIS for the dynamic approach in helping primary school teachers to face the challenges in the teaching learning process.
