Inter-School Teachers’ Empowerment Programme

SIS organized an Inter-School Teacher’s Empowerment Programme on behalf of  Qatar Chapter of CBSE Gulf Sahodaya.

Teachers of eleven Indian Schools in Qatar, MES Indian School, Ideal Indian School, Al Khor International School, DPS-Modern Indian School, Olive International School, Pearl School, Loyola International School, Bhavans Public School, Birla Public School, Rajagiri Public School and Shantiniketan Indian School participated in the programme on “Active Learning Pedagogy for the Primary Section” at Shantiniketan Indian School.

Mrs. Heena Imran Dhondne, Head Teacher of SIS Junior Section was the resource person and her dynamic approach in helping primary school teachers to face the challenges in the teaching learning process made the programme highly interactive and interesting.

Teachers discussed Active Learn Methods, Inclusion, Equity, Personalized instruction, differentiated instruction, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking and Communication.

Participants in groups analyzed ways in which they could include innovative and creative activities in the teaching learning process to meaningfully engage children and to make learning enjoyable and effective.

Mr. Dudley O’Connor, Vice Principal and Staff Professional Development Coordinator of SIS thanked the participants and the resource person.
