International Day of Families (FN)

May 7, 2026:

Shantiniketan Indian School (Forenoon Session) celebrated the International Day of Families on 7th May 2026 with great enthusiasm and meaningful activities across all sections of the school.

The Foundational Section (Grades I & II) participated in engaging art-integrated activities during their talent hour, including house craft using popsicles and chart paper, family tree making, handprint art, family quiz time, decorative photo frames with family photographs, clay-based family stories, and family fun bingo, all promoting love and respect for family members.

The Preparatory Section celebrated Family Day under the guidance of Academic Supervisor Mr. Wayne Rodrigues and the coordination of Activity Coordinator Ms. Nazia Tahseen along with the Preparatory teachers. Grade 3 students explored the theme “My Happy Family” through drawing, family tree craft, and show-and-tell sessions. Grade 4 students engaged in role plays, thank-you card making, and discussion circles, while Grade 5 students created family memory scrapbooks, gratitude letters, and family values puzzles.

The Middle, Secondary, and Senior Secondary students, led by the student council, created a heartwarming vlog featuring students and staff sharing the message, “Family is where love begins and never ends.” The celebration beautifully strengthened family values, creativity, communication skills, confidence, and gratitude among students.
