International Mother Tongue Day Celebrated at SIS

SIS celebrated International Mother Tongue day with great spirit and fervor. Students from Classes I – VIII performed group song, skit, recited poems, delivered speeches in their mother tongue day to reflect integration of diverse culture in the miniature global society of SIS and  promote literary and verbal skills. The students also danced in the live action song in Arabic.

The program aimed at promoting the spirit of respect for different languages was meticulously planned and the students performed excellently well in Malayalam, Tamil, Arabic, Hindi, Nepali and Manipuri. The students displayed their creativity in their mother tongue and preserved their tangible and intangible culture and heritage.

Head teacher Mr. Mathew and Academic Mentor Mrs. Prabha Saji graced the occasion, felicitated the students and appreciated the heads of departments of languages for putting up a great show.
