Students from Junior and Middle Section of Shantiniketan Indian School celebrated ‘Mother Tongue Day’ with various programs like essay writing competition, poem writing and recitation, drawing competition, slogan writing, article writing, etc. Students in large number enthusiastically participated in the events in their mother tongue. They also participated in group song, poem, speeches and debate in Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Tamil, Malayalam to promote literary and verbal skills.
The events were organized to encourage children display their creativity in their mother tongue and preserve our tangible and intangible culture and heritage.
