October 18, 2025:
The Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, in collaboration with the Qatar Amateur Radio Society, organized the Jamboree on the Air – Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA–JOTI). This unique event provided scouts and guides across Qatar with an opportunity to connect and communicate with fellow scouts from around the world, promoting cultural exchange, global friendship, and international understanding.
The program commenced with an interactive media session featuring Mr. Ahmed Khamees, Mr. Yaqoob, Mr. Sabaan, and Mr. Abdul Rahim Al Munshid, who highlighted the importance and objectives of the JOTA–JOTI initiative.
Approximately 18 schools participated in the event, each represented by two scouts, two guides, and their respective leaders. Participants engaged in live radio conversations with scouts from different countries, sharing their experiences, learning about diverse cultures, and strengthening the spirit of scouting.
The event concluded with a healthy breakfast hosted by the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, making the day both enjoyable and memorable for everyone involved.
From Shantiniketan Indian School, Teacher Leader Mr. Mohd Wasiullah accompanied two scouts — Amaan Lafnas and Nihal Badsha — who actively participated in the program and gained valuable exposure to global scouting communication.
