The 60th Kerala piravi day was celebrated in Shantiniketan Indian School by the Department of Malayalam on 1st November 2016. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Subhash B. Nair. The programme paved the way to remember and honor our mother tongue and mother land. Mr.Shihabudheen Pulath, the Senior Vice principal, felicitated the function. It was blessed with the presence of Malayalam department faculties Mr.Nishanth, Mr.Prasad, Mrs.Lini Varghese, Mrs.Shahanas Noufal, CCA coordinator Mr. Jamal and HOD of visual arts Mr.Sandeep. There was a cultural fiesta by the students with variety of programmes like poem recitation, folk song and group song.
