Keralappiravi Celebration 2019

Students of Shantiniketan Indian School celebrated Keralappiravi with enthusiasm and excitement. The programme titled “Kerakedaram” was organized and conducted by the department of Malayalam. The programme aimed at evoking a sense of patriotism and respect for Indian culture and traditions included folksong, folk dance, thiruvathirakkali, oppana and kavyashilpam reflecting varied culture and traditions of Kerala.

Senior Vice Principal Mr. Shihabuddeen Pulath urged the audience to respect the culture and traditions of India and strengthen unity and togetherness. He concluded his speech reciting the poem ‘Amma’. Vice Principal – Mr. Dudley O’ Connor; Junior Section Head Teacher – Mrs.Hena Imran; Assistant Head Teacher Mrs. Shalini and ICT Head Teacher Mr. Shyam Krishna were also present at the event. Middle Section Head Teacher – Mr. Mathew K.C, felicitated the gathering reminding the responsibilities of Keralites in protecting the richness of their state. Head of Malayalam department Mr. Prasad also felicitated the gathering. Malayalam teacher Mrs. Lini Varghese proposed the vote of thanks.
