Students of Shantiniketan Indian School celebrated Keralappiravi with lot of enthusiasm and excitement using the virtual ZOOM platform. The programme titled “Keraleeyam” was organized and conducted by the department of Malayalam. Students performed various programmes such as Classical Dance, Recitation, Mappilappattu etc. echoing the rich and varied culture and traditions of Kerala.
Well-known writer Mr. M.V. Benny, who was the Guest Speaker in the event, had an interactive session during he answered the questions raised by the students that helped them to identify their shortcomings and weaknesses. He also reminded the students about their social responsibilities and duties towards the society.
Principal Dr. Subhash Nair appreciated the hard work and enthusiasm of the students as well as teachers for conducting the programme even in this pandemic situation. Senior Vice Principal Mr. Shihabuddeen Pulath, urged the audience to respect the culture and traditions and strengthen unity and togetherness.
The event was also graced with the presence of Mr. K. C. Abdul Latheef, President of the SIS School Management Committee, all the heads of school, teachers and the large audience.
