Keralappiravi Celebration 2021 at SIS

Students of Shantiniketan Indian School celebrated Keralappiravi with lot of enthusiasm and excitement. The programme titled “Ente Keralam” was organized and conducted by the Malayalam department. Students performed various cultural programmes such as   Thiruvathirakkali, Mappilappattu, kolkkali, Oppana and Drawings echoing the rich and varied culture and tradition of Kerala. Keralappiravi Celebration was premiered on YouTube on Monday, 1st November at 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Rasheed Ahmed – President – School Management Committee shared his nostalgic experiences of Kerala and its rich culture that nurtures human brotherhood and unity. He pointed out that the greedy human activities cause natural calamities and thereby disrupt the peace and natural beauty of the state. He called on the people to refrain from activities that undermine human unity and promote activities that preserve the cultural unity of Kerala.

Mr. Prasad, Head of the Malayalam Department and Dr. Subhash Nair, Principal appreciated the hard work and enthusiasm of the team of students and teachers that conducted the programme. They appealed to the new generation to preserve the uniqueness and rich heritage of Kerala. Nimisha Seby, Malayalam language teacher expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and the participants.
