Students of Shantiniketan Indian School celebrated Keralappiravi with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement. The programme titled “Keraleeyam” was organized and conducted by the Department of Malayalam. Students performed on various cultural events such as Thiruvathirakkali, Mappilappattu, Kerala Nadanam ,Oppana, Speech and Poetry Recitation echoing the rich and varied culture and tradition of Kerala.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Principal (Senior Section) Dr.Salil Hassan appreciated the hard work and enthusiasm of the students as well as the teachers to conduct the programme in remembrance of our motherland. He appealed to the new generation to be able to preserve the uniqueness and heritage of Kerala. Middle Section Head Teacher Mr.Mathew.KC and Head of Malayalam Department, Mr. Prasad also addressed the gathering. Malayalam teacher Lini Varghese proposed the vote of thanks.
