Literati Hunt 2024 – Drama Fest

The Literati Hunt 2024 – Drama Fest organized by Shantiniketan Indian School on 23rd April 2024 was a resounding success, showcasing the talents of students across various sections. The event, held in celebration of World English Language Day, brought together a multitude of performances that highlighted the linguistic and dramatic prowess of the students.

The event commenced with a prayer and rendition of the National Anthem by Muhammad Salman (X B), setting a reverential tone for the day. This was followed by warm greetings and a formal introduction by Shahama (IX D), who welcomed the audience to the festivity.
The performances were divided into three sections, each representing different age groups. The Junior Section Team delivered an engaging performance that delighted the audience. The Preparatory Section’s poetic recitation was particularly noteworthy, displaying the young talents’ command over expression.

The Middle Section Team’s stellar skit performance was a highlight of the day, showcasing the remarkable talent of the middle school students. Their oratorical recitation was delivered with poise and maturity, captivating the audience.

The Senior Section Team delivered a captivating performance, showcasing the depth of talent. “The Tempest,” one of William Shakespeare’s last plays, was brought to life by the talented secondary students. The performance, a testament to the students’ dedication and artistic prowess, enthralled the audience with its captivating portrayal of magic, betrayal, and redemption. It was both moving and thought-provoking, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

The event concluded with an enlightening address by the President, Mr. Rasheed Ahmed and the Principal, Mr. Rafeeq Rahim, who commended the students for their exceptional performances and encouraged them to continue honing their talents. Overall, the Literati Hunt 2024 – Drama Fest was a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting English language proficiency among its students. The event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their skills but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and cultural appreciation among the school community.
