As part of an initiative to enhance students’ understanding of different industries, 12 students from the Middle Section of Shantiniketan Indian School visited the London Bakery Factory in Qatar on 18th February 2025. This educational visit aimed to provide hands-on exposure to the bakery industry, production processes, and operational management.
The visit was organized by the Activity Coordinator, Mrs. Soumya Mathew, under the guidance of the Academic Supervisor, Mrs. Nazia Saleem. The students were escorted by Mr. Sanu Mathew, ensuring a smooth and enriching learning experience.
During the visit, students observed various stages of bakery production, including ingredient selection, mixing, baking, packaging, and quality control. They also interacted with factory professionals, gaining insights into hygiene standards, automation in food production, and the significance of efficiency in large-scale baking.
The visit proved to be an engaging and informative experience, reinforcing classroom learning with real-world industry exposure.
