Teachers of SIS were geared up for the latest in IT Digital Enhancement sessions in Makeover 27 held over a period of three days on 27th, 28th and 29th of March, 2023,which enriched and equipped all the teaching staff with the latest in IT Digital Tools. The three-day training session enriched and enlivened the teachers to start the New Academic Year 2023-2024 with greater enthusiasm and more confidence to help all students achieve excellence with innovation.
Principal, Ms. Pamela Ghosh Dasgupta, in her keynote address congratulated all the teachers for their sincerity and hard work in achieving excellent result in the Academic Session 2022-2023. She also expressed her confidence in further improvement of the scholastic and Digital Tools to make Teaching Learning Process effective, enjoyable and interesting.
HOD Computer Science, Mrs. Bilkees Nisar, enlightened the teachers on the first day with her introductory session on Linoit and Nearpod, the digital tools which helped teachers to create interactive presentations that included Quizzes, Polls, Videos, Collaborate Boards, and more, which gave them the structure they need to make a lesson innovative and captivating. Mrs. Mukta Chaturvedi (ICT coordinator) delivered an enriching session on the usefulness of Mind Mapping and Animal Safari – a powerful technique to helped visually develop and organize ideas and informations. Several other tools and its usefulness such as Edpuzzle, Google Earth, were demonstrated by Mrs. Revathi (ICT Department) on the second day of the Makeover Session. A short assessment was conducted on the last day of the session to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. The ICT Department helped the teachers with some advance level of computing to help them prepare top quality presentations.
Principal – Ms. Pamela Ghosh Dasgupta in her closing address appreciated the efforts of Mr. Dudley O Connor, Vice Principal and Resource Persons for very innovative, inclusive and very enlightening Professional Development Sessions.
