On October 10, 2024, in honor of World Mental Health Day, our school proudly hosted an inspiring workshop aimed at transforming mindsets and fostering self-awareness among students in grades 3 and 4. This important event brought together a dynamic team of professionals, including Ms. Afifa Husna, an NLP Practitioner; Ms. Zaneeja Sanil, a certified Mind Coach and Empowerment Coach with an MSc in Counselling and Family Therapy; and Ms. Rejeena Kabeer, a certified Mind Coach and Architect.
Key Themes of the Workshop
The workshop centered on several key themes designed to empower the students:
Daring to Dream Big: Students were encouraged to envision their goals without limitations, fostering ambition and creativity.
Changing Focus: The importance of shifting perspectives to overcome challenges was highlighted, helping students develop resilience.
Zero to Hero: Inspiring stories demonstrated that anyone can achieve greatness through determination and effort, motivating students to believe in their potential.
Throughout the session, students felt energized and engaged, displaying enthusiasm and expressiveness. They were encouraged to communicate openly with their parents and guardians, emphasizing the importance of seeking support and guidance in their journeys.
Parent Participation
The involvement of parents added depth to the experience. The session fostered a sense of giving back to the community, with students feeling a strengthened bond with the school and daring to dream big.
The program was coordinated by Mr. Wayne, the Academic Supervisor of the Preparatory Section, and Ms. Faheema, our dedicated school counselor.
Overall, the workshop was a significant step toward empowering our students and fostering a supportive environment for both them and their families, particularly in the context of mental health awareness. We look forward to more enriching sessions in the future that continue to
promote well-being and resilience within our school community.
