Mother’s Day Celebrations – Junior Wing

Mother’s Day is one of the most popular of all such days that honour relationships. Of the many people who add value to our lives, a mother is undoubtedly the most special. Whether it is your own mom or someone you look up to, the basic thought behind Mother’s Day is expressing yourself to that someone who has been with you throughout your life.

11th May, 2014 being “Mothers Day” was celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion in junior wing.  Mothers Day celebrated in the Activity Hall from 5:00pm to 7.00pm. The whole programme was anchored by students of class VA Gayathri and class VD Minha K.P. Mothers took part in an activity –imprinted their hand print with their ward’s hand and displayed.

The evening started with the blessings of almighty, the prayer recited by Mansoor of class 4D.The welcome speech was given by Master Shourya Pratap of class VA wherein he welcomed the principal and the gathering enthusiastically.

Students started with expressions wherein shows maternal bond and love. The councilor Ms Faslina gave a speech on Parenting. Daana O.M of class 5E delivered a beautiful speech on Mothers and described beautifully about the relationship and the love of mother .Neha of class 5D and Sherin Of class 4E presented a role play showing that mother’s patience and the values. Minha of class 3B recited a beautiful poem on Mothers.

A dance programme displayed by students of class 4 and 5 directed by Mrs Pragisha.The guest Doctor mother herself – Dr Geetha Menon advised the parents to feed children healthy homemade food instead of  readymade food.

Fun started with Sandwich Making competition and two organized games ‘Cap Making’ and ‘Musical chairs’. The winning mothers awarded with gifts.

In the sandwich making competition Mrs Prabha Saji (The headmistress) Mrs Jayshree,Mrs Khairunessa judged the event.

Last vote of thanks proposed by Master Saba Shaduli of class 4D.He thanked the gathering for being a part of the programme.
