Shantinikethan Indian School implemented the theme “My Values Shape My Identity” through school-wide activities, focusing on the value of Ṣalāh (prayer) ”. The program emphasized prayer as a foundation for righteousness, self-discipline, and personal identity, integrating Islamic values into students’ daily lives.
The Islamic Studies Department, supported by all academic departments, class teachers, and House Masters, organized the activities to strengthen understanding, encourage practical application, and promote value-based learning. Teachers incorporated the theme into daily lessons, discussions, and classroom reflections, while students participated actively from lower to senior grades. Bulletin boards were creatively decorated with Qur’anic verses, Hadiths, posters, and slogans promoting the importance of prayer. Class teachers guided students through reflections, group discussions, creative writing, and artwork to reinforce learning.
House-wise competitions, including poster-making, slogan creation, and team presentations, fostered healthy competition and collaboration, encouraging leadership and responsibility. A special General Assembly provided students with a platform to deliver Arabic and English speeches, enhancing understanding, confidence, and public speaking skills.
The Aseel Initiative in the foundational section complemented the program, focusing on understanding the name of Allah “Al-Haadi”. Students engaged in daily supervised prayer sessions, workshops for emotional and spiritual growth, creative activities, and video-making projects involving parents. These initiatives promoted mindfulness, inner goodness, and spiritual well-being.
The program achieved its objectives, resulting in enhanced understanding of prayer, active school-wide participation, and improvement in students’ moral, spiritual, and social awareness. Students expressed their learning creatively, strengthened collaboration across the school, and developed discipline, confidence, and a deeper spiritual connection.
The “My Values Shape My Identity – Nov-Dec 2025 ” initiative successfully nurtured well-rounded students rooted in Islamic values, reflecting Shantinikethan Indian School’s commitment to holistic moral, spiritual, and academic development.
