On 3rd December,
Shantiniketan Indian School had the honor of hosting an official visit by Scouts and Guides officials. The distinguished guests included Ahmad Khamis, Mona Almansori, and Paramjeet Bullar. The visit was marked by a series of engaging activities and discussions aimed at strengthening the Scouts and Guides program within the school.
The guests were warmly received at the school gate with a Guard of Honor presented by the Scouts and Guides. This ceremonial welcome set the tone for an inspiring and collaborative day. The main event took place in the Activity Hall, where a specially curated program, organized under the guidance of Scouts Master Mohd Wasiullah and Miss Carol Gonsalves, showcased the skills and talents of the Scouts and Guides. The program featured:
● Knot Tying Demonstrations
● Skit Performances
● Yells and Chants
● Speech on the Importance of Scouts and Guides in both school and society
The event began with a prayer and the Scouts Oath, emphasizing the values of discipline and service. The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Scouts Master Mohd Wasiullah. Following the presentations, the officials engaged in a detailed discussion with the Scouts and Guides team. They reviewed the Scouts and Guides files and shared valuable insights on enhancing the training plans. They also explored strategies to maximize student participation in Scouts activities during school hours. Students enthusiastically participated in the interactive session, learning new techniques such as the Scouts Clap and various yells, which added to their repertoire of skills.
