November 30, 2024:
On November 30th, Shantiniketan Indian School participated in a one-day scouts camp held at Al Khor Flower Each Spring Beach. Eight scouts, accompanied by their leaders Mr. Wasiullah and Mrs. Carol, took part in the event. Organized by The Next Generation School in collaboration with the Scouts Association, the camp ran from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and offered a wide range of engaging activities.
Participants honed their skills through tent-making, area cleaning, cooking, knot-tying, and learning the various uses of scarves. Enthusiastic yells and chants added to the lively atmosphere. One of the highlights was a flag-making competition, where Shantiniketan Indian School secured first place, earning a trophy and certificates.
This camp was particularly significant as most participants were new scouts, experiencing their first camp. They embraced the opportunity to learn valuable skills and teamwork. Both breakfast and lunch were generously provided by the association, ensuring the scouts were well-fed and energized throughout the day. Overall, it was a memorable and enriching experience for all involved.
