Parent Discussion Forum

Parents of Shantiniketan Indian School discussed on the topic “Learning Beyond Classroom” in the Parent Discussion Forum organised on Saturday, 24th February 2024.

Mr. Somaraju, the convener of SIS- APT delivered a warm and inspiring welcome speech to set the tone of the gathering and reminded the parents the importance of collaboration, unity and growth in the educational journey. While inaugurating the session Principal, Mr. Rafeeq Rahim, urged the parents to support their children by being positive, developing trust and respecting the integrity of their children. He emphasized on the accomplishment of the Futuristic Goals seeking active involvement of the parents.

The Panel Members in a comprehensive discussion covering various aspects of Education Beyond the Classroom including the parental role in child learning, the impact of gadget use, misuse, and addiction brought out the various challenges that parents experience and how they could overcome in the fast paced development around the world. Nassir, Mrs. Choodamani, Mrs. Seeba, Mr. Ajmal Parambath, Mrs. Nafisa, Mrs. Sahla & Mrs. Uruj Raza articulated their views and shared their own experiences that kept the audience alive and engaged throughout the discussion. The lively interaction with the audience sparked the discussion that was expertly managed by the moderator, Ms. Sania. Master of ceremony Ms. Afeefa Husna facilitated the flow of conversation introducing speakers/topics and ensuring smooth execution of the program.

Dr. Salil Hassan summarized the key points discussed during the forum, emphasizing the importance of parental involvement in children’s education. Mrs. Antoinette Rose extended gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees for their valuable contributions and active participation in making the forum a resounding success.

Amidst a sea of eager parents and dedicated teachers, Vice Principal, Dr. Salil Hasan, Section Heads Mrs. Mehjabeen, Ms. Bushara, Mr. Syed Meraj Ali, Mrs. Nazia Saleem and Administrator, Mr. Abdul Salam graced the occasion with their valuable presence.
