As the academic year 2025-2026 starts, the Shantiniketan Indian School Doha Qatar initiated an engaging and inclusive Parents’ Orientation Program on 12 April 2025 initiated by the Academic Supervisor Mr. Wayne Rodrigues. This event brought together a remarkable turnout of 300 parents, spanning from the little ones in Grade 1 to Grade 5. It was a momentous occasion, as it marked a welcome return allowing parents and educators to reconnect after a long break.
The main objective of this event was to provide parents with a comprehensive overview of the school’s academic programs, assessment structure, communication, uniforms, code of ethics and the strategies in place to ensure a seamless and purposeful academic journey for their children.
To achieve this goal, each class teacher took the initiatives to discuss the programs and initiatives specific to the section were also shared. This interactive session provided parents with valuable insights into the school’s curricular offerings, co-curricular activities, and how these aspects contribute to the holistic development of their children. The entire programme was coordinated by the activity coordinator, Ms. Nazia Tahseen along with the foundational and preparatory teachers.
The event was well planned and organized. The objectives of the event were accomplished by fostering an open dialogue with parents, this session allowed for a deeper understanding of the school’s educational framework and how it is designed to benefit the students. It was a moment to bridge the gap between the home and school environments, with educators and parents coming together as allies in the students’ academic journeys.
