Parents Orientation – Preparatory

On April 30, 2024, the Preparatory Section of SIS held a virtual parent orientation via Zoom from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The event aimed to establish trust and rapport between teachers and parents, emphasizing the school’s commitment to student well-being. By welcoming them into the educational setting and sharing information about the school’s vision, mission, values, curriculum, assessment structures, role of parents, and teaching methodologies, parents gain confidence in the school’s commitment to their child’s well-being.
Led by Mr. Tila, the session commenced with a serene prayer and the rendition of the National Anthems of Qatar and India, celebrating the school’s diverse cultural fabric.
Mr. Wayne Rodrigues, Academic Supervisor, welcomed parents, highlighting the school’s 25 years of excellence. Presentations by Ms. Nazia Tahseen, the Activity Coordinator, and Mrs. Adisha Subhanallah Palte covered the SIS Curriculum and Assessment Structure, respectively. The school counsellor Mrs. Faheema stressed parental involvement, while the school operations manager Mr. Abdul Hameed outlined the SIS Policy.
Head Boy and Head Girl, Master Neeraj Rengith Chandran and Miss Fathima Noreen Nusair, shared their aspirations, urging parental support for a conducive learning environment.
Mrs. Najeeba OM delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants. Mr. Austin Solomon, the Master of Ceremony, ensured a seamless and engaging experience throughout the orientation.
The event aimed to foster collaboration between the school and parents, setting the stage for the holistic development of students in the upcoming academic year 2024-2025.
