Ministry Of Education organized national competition between all Independent, International, and Private schools in Qatar.
National Biology Olympiad (NBO) was divided into 3 rounds as follows:
In the first round 6 students were nominated by our school upon certain criteria and set for a theory online exam (50 multiple choice questions) in the given topics held on 15th January 2017 at Jasim Bin Hamad Hall Ministry of Education Building.
In the second round 5 students from our school got selected and appeared for a practical exam, and training in the theoretical part. The exam was conducted on 7th February’2017.
In the third round Meera Antony of class XII-A got selected and was trained to appear for theory exam similar to IBO questions held on 18th April 2017 in Training and Development centre.
At the end of the third round 16 students from various schools were announced as the winners of the Qatar Biology Olympiad 2017 and among them Meera Antony of class XII-A achieved 3rd place. An Award ceremony for the Qatar Biology Olympiad 2017 was organised by Ministry of Education at Marriott hotel on 22nd May 2017. Meera Antony was honoured with a Bronze Medal and Certificate of Appreciation for her outstanding performance and lasting contribution.
