Qatar Parenting Network Session at SIS – Forenoon School

October 18, 2025:

As part of the Parent–Teacher Meeting held on Saturday, 18th October 2025, Shantiniketan Indian School organized a highly engaging and insightful session for forenoon students’ parents in collaboration with the Qatar Parenting Network (QPN).
The session, titled “The Power of Connection: Understanding Early Childhood Emotions,” focused on helping parents understand the emotional world of young children and the importance of building strong, positive relationships at home. Facilitators from the Qatar Parenting Network shared research-based insights and practical strategies to help parents nurture emotional well-being, strengthen communication, and create secure connections that foster confidence and resilience in children.
This impactful session was made possible through the initiative of the Association of Parents and Teachers (APT) of SIS, who helped introduce and coordinate with the Qatar Parenting Network team. Their efforts contributed to making the session a valuable experience for all attendees.
Parents responded enthusiastically, actively participating in discussions and expressing appreciation for the meaningful takeaways they could apply in their daily interactions with their children. The collaborative environment encouraged open sharing of ideas and reinforced the importance of emotional awareness in early education.
Through such initiatives, Shantiniketan Indian School continues to strengthen its partnership with parents and community organizations, emphasizing holistic child development and emotional well-being as key pillars of education.
