With an objective to promote proper word usage and to strive for excellence in spelling skills, students of classes KG I to STD II participated in Intra-class spell bee competition on 19th February 2015 with great enthusiasm and they dueled through the toughest words. This endeavor helped students to learn to spell quickly, accurately and with comprehension.
Multimedia approach added a new dimension and broadened the outlook of the students making the class environment enterprising, lively and dynamic.
The students qualified in the preliminary rounds by mastering words from the spelling list. There was a challenging glint in the eyes of each and every student when they were given a dictionary of words to test their literary skills.
Students explored English Language and its roots – indeed it was an apt platform to meet and compete with their peers in an atmosphere of fun and friendship.
Headmistress Mrs. Mehjabeen Hasan beamed with pride and joy when she witnessed the budding stars exerting unwavering efforts to out beat each other in an unprejudiced and fair manner.
The competition generated a great deal of excitement as the students flushed with elation at every point they scored. A rewarding learning opportunity availed by each and every student helped them to enhance and enrich their vocabulary skills. Apart from honing their spelling abilities and word recognition power, spell bee provided them with a healthy competitive environment boosting their confidence, team spirit and assertiveness.
