As part of the school’s co-curricular development programme, the School Band, which was originally formed in the previous academic year 2024-25 under the guidance of Ms. Rachana, has continued to grow and progress. The initiative laid a strong foundation in nurturing students’ musical talents while promoting teamwork, discipline, and creative expression.
In the academic year 2025–26, the School Band is being guided by Mr. Insaf, HOD of Art, who is providing structured direction and focused mentorship to the students. The band presently comprises students mainly from Grades 6 and 7, who are undergoing systematic and specialized training in their respective instruments. Individual attention is given to ensure proper skill development, coordination, and effective collaborative performance.
The School Band has actively represented the school in inter-school competitions such as the DPS Music Competition and KALANJALI, in addition to performing at various intra-school programmes. These opportunities have provided valuable exposure, enhanced students’ confidence, and strengthened their stage presence. The programme continues to receive an encouraging response, with sustained enrolment and growing interest among students. With continued training and institutional support, the School Band is expected to further strengthen its presence and remain a significant pillar of the school’s cultural activities, contributing meaningfully to students’ holistic development.
