School Opening and Parents’ Orientation – Foundational (AN)

April 1, 2026:

Shantiniketan Indian School, Foundational Section (Afternoon Shift) warmly welcomed its new learners, marking the beginning of a beautiful and promising journey. The reopening was carefully planned to ensure a smooth transition for all students.

On 1st April, students of Grade 1 and Grade 2, along with new admissions, began their classes. This was followed by KG 2 students on 2nd April and finally the KG 1 learners on 5th April, taking their very first step into the world of learning.

The children entered their classrooms with excitement and curiosity. The school created a warm, friendly, and caring environment where they felt safe and comfortable. Teachers played a key role in making the first days joyful by guiding the students gently. Adding to the cheerful atmosphere, mascots were also present to welcome the children, bringing smiles and happiness to their faces.

To support a smooth reopening, orientation sessions were conducted for parents of newly admitted students over all three days. During these sessions, parents were familiarized with the school’s policies, curriculum, and assessment methods to promote better understanding and cooperation. The sessions were addressed by Mr. Rasheed Ahmed, President; Mr. Rafeeq Rahim, School Principal; Mr. Rafeeque Ahmed, Senior Headmaster; Mr. Abdul Hameed, Operational Manager; and Ms. Sajina C.A., Foundational Section Academic Supervisor, all of whom shared valuable insights and guidance with the parents.

Overall, the reopening was smooth and joyful, creating a positive start filled with comfort, confidence, and a sense of belonging for both students and parents.
