Shantiniketan Indian School, Afternoon Shift, successfully conducted Secondary Sparkles Day on Thursday, 18 June 2026, with great enthusiasm and vibrant colours for the Kindergarten students. The primary objective of the programme was to help young learners understand the concept of secondary colours through fun-filled and hands-on learning experiences while encouraging creativity, participation, and collaborative learning.
Students enthusiastically took part in a variety of activities designed around secondary colour themes. The programme featured attractive stalls based on colours such as Pink, Gold, Purple, and Orange. Children came dressed in their respective class colours and proudly represented their groups, showcasing creative ideas and engaging displays related to their assigned colour themes.
The event was graced by the presence of School President Mr. Rasheed Ahmed, Principal Mr. Rafeeq Rahim, Senior Headmaster Mr. Rafeeque Ahmed, and Academic Supervisor Ms. Sajina Cholayil Abubacker, who visited the stalls and interacted with the young learners, motivating and encouraging them to participate actively in the various activities.
Teachers meticulously designed and decorated the stalls, creating a vibrant and engaging learning environment. The stalls featured a variety of attractions, including food items, simple science activities, craft displays, educational exhibits, and a play area, offering students meaningful opportunities for exploration and participation. The distribution of sweets added to the festive spirit of the event. Through hands-on colour-mixing activities, children developed a clear understanding of how primary colours combine to form secondary colours. The programme provided an enriching learning experience that fostered creativity, confidence, teamwork, and active engagement among the students.
Secondary Sparkles Day was a highly successful and enriching event that combined learning with fun and fostered creativity, collaboration, and self-confidence among the children. The enthusiastic participation of students, teachers, and parents made the programme a memorable and meaningful educational experience for all.
