To cater to the needs of students waiting for affordable quality school education the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has granted approval to Shantiniketan Indian School to have an additional shift in the afternoon from the next academic year.
According to Mr. K. C. Abdul Latheef, President of SIS Management, the second shift system will be a great relief to the students still waiting for admission as the vacancies in the Indian Schools are limited and the registrations are already complete. The highest demand is for seats in schools with low fee structures.
Dr. Subhash Nair, SIS principal stated that the afternoon session will follow the CBSE curriculum as per the conditions set by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The second shift is planned for classes 1 to 12 and will be offered depending on the demands and requirements. The second session will have the same facilities, standards and features of the existing first shift. If students from the existing first shift opt to be transferred to the second shift due to any reason, their request will be considered based on the availability of vacancies. Preference for admissions will be given to Indian Nationals as the second shift follows the Indian Curriculum. The fees structure and the number of instructional hours for the second session will be similar to that of the existing morning session. School transport facilities will be extended to students in the second shift to the available routs.
Parents who seek admission for their ward in the second session are requested to register online through SIS school web portal www.sisqatar.info .
