Fun with shapes…!!
The Pre-Primary Section of SIS had a fun filled Shape Finder Day on 15th June 2020 to help children learn simple geometric shapes.
Teachers provided the young ones with wonderful opportunities through manipulative games for the development of their stereognosis skills as well as promoting visual perception.
Children got engaged and immersed in a series of shape sorting, shape finding games and hands on activities. Learning and recognizing basic shapes through tactile and shape craft activities like shape graph, pizza, shape magnifiers, shape card, sort patterns, play dough and shape collage helped them to develop their fine motor skills. Our children also listened to the demonstrative stories about shapes like greedy triangle and perfect square.
Our tiny tots had endless opportunities to explore, create and recreate models with shapes that kindled their thinking skills besides developing their basic geometric knowledge.
