“THE DEVELOPMENT OF NATION LIES IN UNITY AMONG PEOPLE AND THE CHANGE THEY WANT TO BRING ABOUT IN THE NATION”
The Qatar National Day celebrations at Shantiniketan Indian School on 16th of December,2015 in association with FCC (Friends Cultural Centre – Doha) wholly embodied the essence, vision and spirit of the land.
The occasion was based on highlighting the Pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030 (Economic Development, Human Development, Social Development, and Environmental Development)
It also encouraged the social awareness on ideas like ROTA (Reaching out Asia), EAC (Educating a child) and EAA (Educating above all).An artwork of all the continents were displayed by SIS
A new step of team work between FCC (Friends Cultural Centre) and Shantiniketan Indian School was a very successful one that enhanced the glory of the occasion.
The event started off with Almighty’s blessings and was an amalgamation of music and a cultural showcase of Qatar.
The guests of honor for the programme were Mr. Nadir Abdul Salam and members of FCC.
The Principal of SIS, Dr. Subhash Nair warmly welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude towards the guests. He highlighted the importance of Qatar National Day and its cultural heredity.
It was indeed endearing to listen to the nostalgic performance presented by the group of students of SIS. The magnificent and rhythmic march pass done by the scouts and guides displayed great zeal and enthusiasm.
Students and teachers dressed in colorful dresses brought the campus alive. The highlights of the occasion was the march pass exhibited by teachers and students who were dressed in the national attires of different countries of the world along with holding their respective flags. The Qatar flags and the banners highlighting the Pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030 were carried by the leaders of SIS.
The guest of honor Mr. Nadir Abdul Salam sang a melodious song for all the students and made it a memorable event for the huge audience gathered there.
The wonderful event came to an end as the guests of honor concluded it by sending off the balloons attached with a banner that read “QATAR NATIONAL DAY”.
