Shantiniketan Indian School has won 4 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze medals in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Taekwondo Competition organized by Ideal Indian School on 21st October 2014. It was a dominating performance by SIS in the competition in which two girls won gold medals participating for the first time in a taekwondo competition.
Principal, Dr. Subhash Nair, Vice Principal – CBSE (i) – Mr. Dudley O’Connor and the Head of the Department –Physical Education – Mr. Tanveer Mehndi congratulated the winners and their Trainer, Mr. Ram Kishore Sharma, for his hard work and excellent training to the participants.
Winners of the Gold Medal – Mohammed Hani (Class XI); Nihal Ramesh (Class VIII); Nada Mohammed (Class IX); Urbha Chaudhary (Class IX)– has been selected to participate in the CBSE National Taekwondo Championship, to be held in Haryana from 23rd – 26th November, 2014.
